_Anke works in mixed media, manipulating paint and materials to create abstract images that remind us of aerial landscapes and space. Inspired by aboriginal art through her travels she developed a technique she named "controlled accidents". Here the actual painting process sparks inspiration, guides meaning and further exploration.
With vibrant colors she explores tracks on the canvas that she likes to relate to ways in life. "Where do we come from, where do we go and what shapes our journey in between? "
Anke is currently studying MA Art Education at Roehampton University in London.
