Esperanza doesn’t use one material or another - she has no ties to any of them. She is fascinated by all materials, but not a form of fascination with a visual or tactile meaning, what attracts her is that any material when worked on correctly can be transformed into a sculpture, into an object that can convey a concept, an idea, an emotion. She doesn’t use the same material continuously, as she says that to learn you have to go from the known to the unknown and she is always in a phase of experimentation. She collaborates with the materials, rather that trying to impose on them, willing to allow them to explore and express themselves.
With a BA in Psychology from the Granada University and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of the Arts in London, she collaborates with art organizations in London and in the south of Spain. Her works are in private collections in USA, Singapore, Spain and United Kingdom.
