Jenny Price is a British contemporary painter who lives and works in London. She trained in textiles and printmaking at Camberwell School of Arts.
Jenny creates abstracted landscapes inspired by the world around her.
In her work, Jenny translates emotions, stories, personal and political, and feelings into an abstracted landscape. Jenny is also inspired by living next to the Thames, and the impact water and changing landscape can have on our emotions. She also looks at subjects of refugees She paints with acrylic and incorporates weaves into her paintings. To do this, she creates open weaves on a loom, carefully choosing the yarn to represent the mood and subject of each painting. She then mixes grains and salts with the paint, to create a variety of textures that represent the landscape. Her colours are carefully chosen to reflect not just the landscape but the emotions being explored.
