Initially inspired by the work of Terry Frost, Ben Nicholson, Bridget Reilly and Mark Rothko I have found myself intrigued by the possibility of using simple shapes, colour and texture to create art. I enjoy experimenting with materials. I live in Essex but enjoy spending time in Cornwall.
I have primarily exhibited in London and Cornwall as well as numerous Open Exhibitions around the country resulting in my work being in private collections in Britain and abroad. Art has enabled me to meet some talented and inspirational people. I love the fact that one work can be loved by some and disliked by others but that there is somewhere, among all the artists, styles and materials, a piece of work that speaks to you. I hope you enjoy my work and as the artist John Craxton said: “If you like my art I thank you. If not then I am sorry for wasting your time.” |
